The story of much&little …
Born and raised in lovely Vancouver, BC, I have a big creative appetite and I love to learn. This is reflected in my multi-faceted career path as an interior designer, yoga teacher and art consultant. I’m also a mom, a wife, and an artist with printmaking as my medium.
After a time of self-reflection — and waiting for the right conditions in life to converge — much&little was conceived and opened its doors in October 2011. It grew from a desire to create a personal shopping experience that offers simple, beautiful, well-made goods for everyday use. While you’d be hard-pressed to find anything in the shop that screams haute design, each item has been hand picked not just for aesthetics and function, but also for the story behind it that creates lasting value. Where was it made, how and by whom? As much as possible, I seek out products that have been created with love and care, with attention to detail and craft. I also source from companies that have been doing the same thing for years, because they do it well.
For you, I hope this translates into something of value. Where items are of heirloom quality and timeless appeal. Where a seemingly humble object will be something you love to pick up and use each day, and the patina of use just makes it better.
I’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has encouraged me in all phases of the business. To friends, family and customers who show their support and make each day worthwhile. In the end it’s about connection and community; none of this would be possible without you.
Lastly, a special shout-out for my nearest and dearest:
To my husband, for being solid, steadfast and true. For being the rudder that keeps my ship on course …
To our son, for his open heart, enthusiasm, willingness to help and his genuine belief that his ma can accomplish her dreams …
To our puppy, Bruno, for keeping me young-at-heart and giving unconditional wet kisses at the end of each day.
All the very best,
