For this special batch of chocolate, Kasama aged their Ugandan cacao beans in an oak cask for four weeks with Odd Society Distillery’s Wallflower Gin, then stone ground them with juniper berries.

Vancouver-based Kasama Chocolate began when one of the co-founders inherited land in the Philippines that grew cacao - two suitcases of pods became the first batch of "not so good" chocolate.
Since then, they've experimented with different beans, different roasting, refining and conching methods to perfect their process. Now, they create award winning chocolates. And while cacao doesn't grow in Vancouver, they love to use ingredients from local vendors and producers in their bars and truffles.
